Hey Chris/Bryan, James, a friend of April's here.
I didn't know you were Lost fans until April pointed out this blog to me today. Unfortunately, living in the U.K, i'm a little behind you both in terms of episodes (i think i'm on 2:15 or so) so i'm worried about spoiling things! heh.
I have been meaning to talk to other christians about episode 12, "Fire+water", about Eko, which somewhat annoyed me due to the way it presented the idea of baptism..
Not only was it the catholic "version (eko doesn't even ask Claire if she believes in God/Christianity before baptising her and the baby)" of baptism, but he also presents Jesus as a sinner, saying "When John the Baptist baptised Jesus, the skies opened up, and a dove flew down from the sky. This told John that he had cleansed this man of all his sins, that he had freed him".
Now I know it's only a tv show and it's not something to get all up in arms about, but honestly, who writes that stuff :) heh.
I hope to soon catch up with you on episodes so i can come back and follow what you've been discussing without worrying about spoilers!
