hmm...it would see that you used the term "megacast" several times in this week's show without permission from myself. I will get my lawyers on this right away, for the case of copyright infringement...unless you keep chugging out the shows! Sawyer. Nice, I must admit. Anyways, I'll work on the Q of the W later, but as for now, just wanted to say good show, nice product of the week (lol, yall had me going there for a second with the "black smoke monster in a bottle thing), and who was that charming young lady who left a comment at the end of the show?? If she had her own podcast, I would listen to her all the time...ha. the joys of sarcasm!

Hey there, glad you are back on here. If one of you could post the name of the cast that discussed the four toed statue i would appreciate it so i could go grab it. I have my own theory as well. And does anybody know what town in Tennessee Sawyer is from?

yeah, cloverfield was off my radar and out of mind for the longest time for me too. But surprise surprise, that JJ sure does know how to market a movie; I just couldn't stay away!

As for the podcast, well...I don't think its happening. Lindsay is transferring colleges in the winter, which means we wouldn't be able to record together. I'm kinda disappointed...maybe a good sized check could cheer me up...you did send the check, right? lol/

here's my theory about the great locke...
Locke's immaculately conceived as his mother told him. Anthony Cooper may not be his father at all. As a con-man, Cooper may have his mother to lie to Locke. The DNA tests are also faked.

here is my theory about injuries that heppened ON the island...
If time is different on the island compared to the outside world, then maybe this would have an effect on the amount of time injury's take to heal. For instance, When locke fractured his leg during the lockdown, which in normal circumstances would have taken months to heal, only took a mere few episodes-this is due to the time on the island being slower than the outside world.

btw..when's your next podcast?
=D

How can time be different on the island if Ben showed Jack the 1994 World Series??

If time is moving slower on the island (although I don't see how that would explain shortened healing times), then the 2004 world series wouldn't have happened yet. But if we look at it as the time moving faster on the island, that would better explain the unneccesary time it takes to heal, Ben would have the access to the world series clip, ect.

I don't know. Either fast or slow, there's an issue with both sides. Something always doesn't fit. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what will happen as the mythology of the island unfolds.

Yes, time would have to be moving slower.

Now to my theory (I'm not sure how coherent it will be, since I haven't thought about it for a few weeks):

In Rose and Bernard's flashback episode, Bernard takes Rose to Isaac of Uluru, a faith healer, to rid Rose of her cancer; Isaac explains that certain places on Earth have energy, and he is a sort of conduit through which this energy can travel to other people (the sick). But he says he can't heal Rose, because this place isn't the place that can heal her.

I think that the Island is a healing place just like Uluru is, and that Locke is unknowingly a conduit for the energy there. That could explain why Locke is able to walk, but still not really feel his legs too well; the energy causes his muscles to work, but not his nerves. He hung around Rose often so she was healed, he left Boone and he died, he was around Claire and the baby was okay, and Ben wasn't really healing that well until Locke started hanging around him.

I /do/ think that time moves incredibly slowly on the island (which would speed up the healing that Locke is already doing by inadvertently channeling energy), and would also explain the whole Richard-not-aging thing.

Another (smaller) reason that Locke is a conduit just as Isaac was is that they are both bald; everyone knows that older bald men have mystical powers.

Oh yeah, also, I should get a prize for the backwards part tagged onto the end.

*Begins Clapping Slowly*
Well put Molty... this whole discussion about time moving slowly and how it relates to the island's healing powers will make an excellent addition to our Locketober-fest show.

Also, major props for getting the backwards message at the end of last weeks show... you're now on the prize list.
