By the look of Ben when he appears in the desert wearing what Darlton has termed a "Darka" (dharma parka) it seems as if he was in a colder climate prior. Possibly paying an unexpected visit to our friends Henrik and Mathias?

My only qualm about this episode was that the recruitment of Sayid does seem to differ from this episode and the explanation in the Economist. It does bother me because Ben said "Do you remember the last time you fought with your heart and not your gun?" to which Sayid said "You used it to recruit me to kill for you." I guess I have this feeling that Sayid either discovers that Ben killed Nadia but that it was necessary to keep the people on the island safe or for a greater good later on or that there is another incident? I can't put my finger on it but it is kind of aggravating.

Best episode ever. Good old Charles is one of the oldest inhabitants of the island. My theory that I have been working on for a while is very Ponce De Leon inspired. As I am getting it together, some things are falling in place, others are needing rethought. The rules are simple. Chuck Norris makes all the rules. "Chuck" Charles widmore apparently forgot this.
