Hi Chris and Brian,
You asked if Miles could read dead pets - I think that answer must be Yes! I think it was in 'The Lie' the Miles 'hunted down' a boar, which turned out to have only died 3 hours ago, just before the flaming arrows incident.
Got to put you off your dinner don't you think?
