Since I don't like hearing my own voice, I decided to write in instead of call this time.
I'm gonna answer your fake Q of the W. The compass one. I'm gonna say that it's a normal compass, made like most normal compasses. It was probably in Richard's possession sometime before 1954, and he either lost it in the jungle or it just disappeared from his side table or wherever he keeps it. And then it enters the time loop. The End.
Also, I'm gonna guess that Charlotte is sick because is back on the Island. Maybe this is why "you can't go back" to the Island. Maybe if you spend too much time on the Island and then come back, you start bleeding from the nose and then die eventually. So technically, you CAN go back. You'll just die soon.

Random thought with no relevance to anything on the cast (not that I can listen to it here anyways):
Ben told Locke he couldn't turn the wheel and return, that he would never get back to the Island. But you have Mrs. Hawkings locating it for him, with him scavenging up the Oceanic Six to send back...like he isn't going back?
It's kinda sketch to me. I think he was just lying, or full of it, or maybe found a way to circumvent the rule, but I think Ben is totally going to be back on the Island somehow....just my rambly nonsensical two cents.
I miss LU. I need better internet.
Also, I have a new blogspot domain due to the fact I didn't log onto my old one in ages. Yay.
